Frequently Asked Questions

  • I offer therapy and consultation services for children, teens, adults, parents, couples, and families. Therapy may include individual therapy, couples therapy, parent support, or family-based support depending on your needs and goals.

I also offer consultation services for individuals, parents, or caregivers who are looking for guidance, recommendations, or help understanding possible next steps. Services are available in English and Spanish, and appointments may be offered in person or through telehealth depending on availability and clinical fit.

  • The first step is to complete the Contact form. After I receive your information, I will follow up about availability, fit, fees, insurance, and next steps.

  • I work with a range of ages, identities, and concerns. I offer therapy services for school-aged children, teens, adults, parents, couples, and families. I also work with Spanish-speaking and bilingual clients, first-generation and bicultural clients, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, eating and body image concerns, life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting stress, and caregiving or professional burnout.

  • Yes. I am currently in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and Carelon as of June 11, 2026. All insurance claims are processed through Alma. Coverage and benefits vary by plan, so I encourage you to contact your insurance company directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information about your mental health benefits.

If you have a different insurance plan, I would be considered an out-of-network provider. Depending on your plan, you may be able to receive partial reimbursement for services. In this case, you would pay for sessions directly, and I can provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt that includes the information your insurance company may need to process an out-of-network claim.

Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific insurance plan, deductible, and out-of-network benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance company before beginning services to ask about your out-of-network mental health coverage.

  • Private pay fees vary based on the type and length of service. Individual psychotherapy sessions are typically $180 per session, and couples therapy sessions are typically $200 per session.

If you are using insurance, your cost may vary depending on your specific plan, including your copay, deductible, coinsurance, and benefits. I encourage you to contact your insurance company directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information about your coverage.

  • You may contact me between sessions for brief administrative matters, such as scheduling, billing, paperwork, or questions about upcoming appointments. Email, phone, or text may be used for these types of communication.

I do my best to respond to messages during regular business hours. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, are in immediate danger, or need urgent support, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or call/text 988 for crisis support.

  • If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel your session less than 24 hours or no show your appointment, you will be charged the full rate of session.

  • If you are uninsured or are not using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your mental health care may cost.

Under federal law, health care providers are required to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for non-emergency health care services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute the bill.

Please save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
